Our History - From 1984 Until Today
Some ideas are revolutionary and pave the way to success. In the early 1980s Albert Kipfelsberger developed an electric torque multiplier which shuts off automatically upon reaching the correct torque. The objective was to develop a technology better than the conventional bolting methods. The major disadvantages of early hydraulic equipment should be resolved by a faster, more precise, cleaner and also more economic method.
Patenting this unique innovation was the beginning of the success story of alkitronic® and the start of further trend-setting innovations. The electric driven torque multiplier with automatic shut-off could highly improve safety standards for bolting connections in numerous fields. When bolts can no longer be over-tightened, the bolted construction lasts considerably longer. Today this significant invention has become essential for many companies in their daily work. Meanwhile electric torque multiplier with automatic shut-off have become indispensable in steel construction, heavy equipment industry and during the assembly of new environmental technologies. alkitronic® will continue to meet the great challenges of demanding bolting applications and provide innovative solutions using most modern and high-quality technology.
By expanding the product range with the battery torque multiplier an important step has been made in the last few years. Also in 2016 alkitronic® is dedicated to progress and has developed the alkitronic® app as a supplement to the mounting documentation systems. An absolute innovation within the industry – no other German competitor is presently working with apps which serve to document bolting applications.
